Swinside Lodge Hotel is a small luxury hotel with seven rooms, personally run by owners Mike and Kath Bilton. Set in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District at the foot of the mountains and yet within easy access to Keswick, the hotel is a haven of peace and tranquillity. Wildlife, including red squirrels, can be seen in the gardens. Four course dinner is served each evening, complemented by an extensive wine list, earning the hotel a prestigious two AA Rosettes. Other recent awards are Lakeland hotel of the Year: Good Hotel Guide, and Small Hotel of the Year: Cumbria Tourism. All rooms are ensuite, individually designed and maintained to a high standard. Swinside Lodge is ideal for walkers, with many breathtaking walks starting from the door. Other activities in the area range from Lake cruises, historic houses and castles, beautiful gardens and quaint villages and craft shops.

Well-presented family-run Guest House with its own parking and large gardens. Ideally situated for walking, climbing and cycling (we are beside the C2C cycle route and have secure cycle storage). Substantial breakfasts are provided and packed lunches are available on request. We are totally non-smoking and pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Weekends - 2 nights bookings only accepted. Bank Holidays - 3 night bookings only accepted. Minimum child age 6 years.Arrival - you may check in any time after 4pm. Departure - you must check out by 10am.Cancellation Policy: a credit card is required to secure your reservation. If the reservation is cancelled less than 2 days prior to arrival, your credit card will be charged with the full amount of the first night's stay.

With 74 stylishly decorated bedrooms, comfortable lounges and sumptuous breakfasts and evening meals, The Keswick Hotel has something to offer all of our discerning guests. Please note: as of the 1st July 2007, new legislation to protect employees and the public from the harmful effects of second hand smoke come into effect. After careful consideration it has been decided to make the Keswick Hotel a non-smoking hotel. Smoking will therefore no longer be permitted in the bedrooms or public areas. A designated space will be set aside outside the premises to accommodate those guest who wish to smoke. We trust that our guests will help us to achieve our legal responsibilities to ensure our premises remain smoke free.
