This delightful 18 bedroomed non smoking Bed & Breakfast is perfectly located within Ambleside between the shops and lake Windermere, a short stroll to either. Plenty of private parking. Breakfast is served 8.30 to 9.30am from an extensive menu of locally sourced products and home baked goods. An extensive bar is open all day also serving cappuccinos, espresso etc and light snacks. The hotel currently has a 4 Star Highly Commended rating from the AA plus an egg cup breakfast award & 4 Star Silver Award from Visit Britain. Howe Keld is a quality bed and breakfast hotel in a great location halfway between the town of Keswick and the shores of Lake Derwentwater-both are within a few minutes walk so once the car is parked all facilities are easily accessible by foot. All rooms are of a standard you would expect of 4 star guest accommodation, many have views of the fells either directly or above the picturesque northern town of Keswick. The breakfast choice far surpasses most people's expectations and is regularly complimented! Cars can be parked either in the limited hotel car park, on the quiet road in front ( there is free parking in The Heads) or in the town car park opposite (free overnight parking)

For the energetic Penrith is located on the Coast-to-Coast cycle route.We have a choice of single, twin, double or family (up to five guests) rooms. All rooms are en-suite (many with newly refurbished bathrooms), with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. We have a total of nine rooms and can accommodate up to 22 people. The Norcroft is one of the few town centre Guest Houses with a large car park.We have an accessible room on the ground floor, newly fitted out and approved by Eden District Council. Access to the Guest House is via the ramped rear entrance. For the first meal of the day we offer the traditional full cooked breakfast, or lighter or vegetarian options to suit your requirements.
